關(guān)于“argumentation”與“report”

A的問題是he到底指代父親還是兒子？

在開始段落，作者首先表明中心論點(diǎn)是這個(gè)世界上幾乎沒有永恒的英雄（there are figures who will always be in the history books, but they won't always be regarded as heroes）。

從句意上看，“當(dāng)某人拿起電話，他或她就是在使用現(xiàn)代最偉大的發(fā)明之一”。

1. If 4 more than twice a number is equal to 10,what is 3 times the number?

brian: you mean what is a good house-warming gift?
dario: yeah, i have been invited to the house-warming party.
brian: you should buy something that you know they don\'t have.
dario: the trouble is that i don\'t know the people very well.
brian: that makes the decision a bit harder.
dario: i could buy towels or a toaster!
brian: they might already have a toaster and you don\'t know what color towels will match their bathroom.

有些題目中的詞匯是經(jīng)過原文轉(zhuǎn)化的，考生一時(shí)很難分別定為關(guān)鍵信息，有些詞甚至因前后綴產(chǎn)生新的變化，考生在背誦sat詞匯時(shí)，要注意區(qū)分這些長(zhǎng)相接近但詞義完全不同的詞匯。避免被誤導(dǎo)失分。

分析：<圖>＝1－<圖>, <圖>＝13…altthe tenths digit is 8.

D中的they和their有沒有指代little boys或drawings或stories的可能？這么多復(fù)數(shù)名詞在句子里，難道用they不存在問題嗎？其實(shí)，代詞指代對(duì)象的問題確實(shí)是SAT的一個(gè)灰色區(qū)域，不能據(jù)此作為選擇正確答案的唯一依據(jù)。另外，D中的they指代boys明顯錯(cuò)誤，不可能是“人”被collected的。同樣，指代drawing或stories也是有問題的，不可能是A is collected for A這樣的結(jié)構(gòu)。

雖就越戰(zhàn)本身說了一些不重要的細(xì)節(jié)，但沒有把戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)給美國帶來什么樣的教訓(xùn)說清楚。

　　We\'ll transfer you to our Paris branch.

本文作者在句子結(jié)構(gòu)方面的駕馭能力，可以從以下幾個(gè)例子看出一二。

次反問，一串反問都行，就是不要到處都是疑問）；第三句話，明確作者的觀點(diǎn)：There are many things people do or say in their everyday lives that contradict this supposed desire for honesty（生活中有很多人們并不追求真實(shí)的例子）。
